Young Singers logo (RED)On Sunday 13th December, 50 members of The Young Singers took to the stage in the Royal Festival Hall alongside The Bach Choir to sing in Raymond Gubbay’s “Christmas Classics with Philharmonia Orchestra”. The Young Singers, under the direction of The Bach Choir’s Musical Director, David Hill, sang Il est ne and Pat a pan, specially arranged for the ensemble by Sally Greaves. Also featured in the programme were festive favourites such as excerpts from The Nutcracker Suite and Berlioz Shepherd’s Farewell from L’enfance de Christ.

“I was moved to tears at yesterday’s Christmas Classics concert. I happened to be sitting right near the Young Singers and they were magnificent in every way. For me, to see these children singing before a packed Royal Festival Hall with such concentration and taking their applause with such dignity was the culmination of a dream for all of us in Outreach”
Jo Sullam, member of The Bach Choir and one of the founders of the choir’s Outreach Project.

“What a wonderful multi-cultural choir!”
“The Young Singers’ performance was the highlight of the performance for me”
