The Bach Choir sings for the Queen at Buckingham Palace

The Bach Choir was privileged to be invited to sing at the Coronation Festival Gala performances in the gardens of Buckingham Palace in July, in the presence of HM The Queen and many other members of the royal family.  40 singers took part, performing Handel’s coronation anthem Zadok the Priest with the exceptionally talented young players of the National Youth Orchestra, providing backing for Laura Wright’s stunning performance of A Red, Red Rose, and giving the world premiere of Eric Whitacre’s Virtual Choir 4 – Fly to Paradise, with the composer conducting.
