Start Christmas 2019 with The Bach Choir

Start your Christmas celebrations early with The Bach Choir and special guests London City Brass, performing its annual evening of festive Christmas music at Cadogan Hall.

On offer will be a selection of some of the best carols old and new, and of course plenty of opportunity to stretch the vocal cords and join The Bach Choir in singing your favourites.

The event will also feature the winning entry in the Sir David Willcocks Carol Competition by young music composer, Ruth Sellar, ‘The Snow Lies Thick’. Christmas carols and festive cheer, guaranteed!

A Christmas carol composed by Ruth Sellar, a First Class Honours graduate from Kings College London, has won the second year of the Sir David Willcocks Carol Competition with her composition ‘The Snow Lies Thick’. Read More

It will be performed by The Bach Choir conducted by David Hill, Music Director, at Carols at Cadogan on Wednesday 19th December.

David Hill says of this new carol: “Ruth’s carol is very well written; it was the stand-out choice and a very worthy winner of the Sir David Willcocks Carol Competition. We look forward very much to performing it.”
