Sing for Ukraine

On Sunday, London’s choirs and singers came together to sing for Ukraine with David Hill. Together with members of the London Symphony Chorus and the Royal Choral Society amongst many other choirs and singers we sang John Tavener’s The Lord’s Prayer, Orlando Gibbons’ Drop, Drop, Slow Tears, Oscar Hammerstein II’s You’ll Never Walk Alone and Mykola Lysenko’s A Prayer for Ukraine with text by Oleksandr Konynsky. Thanks to Anna Lapwood for transcribing this piece for others to perform. You can hear A Prayer for Ukraine in the video above – this footage was also used by ITV News on Sunday evening which will hopefully help to attract more donations.

Over £10,000 has been raised for the DEC Appeal so far, which will help Ukrainians in crisis to obtain food, water, first aid, medicine, warm clothes and shelter. It’s not too late to donate, so please do consider doing so if you can afford it. To donate to the DEC Appeal through Justgiving, use this link.
