Seven Seeds: another world premiere performance for The Bach Choir

Seven Seeds is a newly-commissioned piece of music written by composer John Barber and writer Hazel Gould inspired by the Greek myth, Persephone.  John and Hazel worked with children from across the Tri-borough to create the work, which is to be premiered on Tuesday 23 June 2015 at 6.30pm in the Royal Albert Hall.

Over 1,200 young singers will take part, alongside The Bach Choir Voices, Inner Voices, and an orchestra made up of professional musicians from Albert’s Band, Aurora Orchestra and the Southbank Sinfonia, as well as students from the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.  The conductor is Nicholas Collon and soloists are Sinead O’Kelly (soprano), Yvonne Howard (mezzo soprano) and Marcus Farnsworth (baritone).
