Invitation to prospective members to join our next open rehearsal

The Bach Choir is delighted to be able to invite prospective members to an open rehearsal on Monday 2nd December 2019.

Our open rehearsal will give you an ideal opportunity to sing with us as we rehearse works for our winter season of carol concerts, and will allow prospective members the chance to experience first-hand the structure of our rehearsals and the Choir itself, and the Musical Director, David Hill.

The rehearsal will feature carols from 100 Carols for Choirs and Noel! (edited by David Hill) for concerts at the Guildhall, Cadogan Hall and Royal Festival Hall in December. This repertoire will be accessible to all who may be interested in joining and all music will be provided for you on the day.

After the rehearsal, you will be welcome to join the Choir for drinks where you can ask our members any questions you may have about their experience in the choir.

If you are keen to find out what it is like to sing with The Bach Choir and would like to try us out before you join, then please email your contact details and voice part to openrehearsal@thebachchoir.org.uk. We will then get back to you with further details and to confirm your place.

The Bach Choir is recognised as one of the world’s leading choirs, building upon a tradition that combines musical excellence with creativity and innovation. Directed by eminent conductor and choir trainer David Hill, we regularly perform and record across London and the UK in prestigious venues, from iconic concert halls like the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall, to stunning cathedrals such as Winchester and St Paul’s, and world-renowned recording venue, Abbey Road Studios.

We rehearse every Monday from September through to June from 6.15pm to 8.15pm in Westminster Cathedral Hall, off Victoria Street, Central London. The Choir is always looking for new singers with good sight reading ability in all parts. We currently have over 25% of members who are under 30. Students and those recently graduated within 4 years pay a substantially reduced membership subscription.
