The Bach Choir deeply regrets the cancellation of its US Tour English Musical Splendor due to concerns related to COVID-19.
This tour, which has been in planning for 18 months, would have brought together The Bach Choir, Yale Schola Cantorum and Yale Philharmonia, in performances including Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast and Stanford’s Song to the Soul in prestigious venues including Boston Symphony Hall, Washington National Cathedral and the Cathedral of St John the Divine in New York.
David Hill, Musical Director of The Bach Choir and Principal Conductor of Yale Schola Cantorum, said “This was a project very dear to my heart and, along with all involved, I am bitterly disappointed that it cannot go ahead. I hope very much that there will be future opportunities for collaboration between these outstanding groups of musicians from both sides of the Atlantic.”
