The Bach Choir announces competition for composers of any age

The Bach Choir is pleased to announce a composers’ competition.

Composers of any age are invited to submit an original work for adult SATB choir, children’s choir and an ensemble of piano, bass, selected percussion and solo flute/piccolo, lasting 15-20 minutes. Entrants are invited to write a work ‘telling the story of’ The Pied Piper of Hamelin using all or part of a provided text and with optional narrator.

The winning entrant will be invited to attend rehearsal(s) in person, where they will have the opportunity to workshop the piece with members of The Bach Choir and young people. The winner will meet with the Choir, and be present for the final rehearsal/performance.

The winning entry will be performed in a leading London venue in Summer 2017.
