Concert Synopsis

Start your Christmas celebrations early with The Bach Choir and special guests London City Brass for an evening of festive music and carols for all. A selection of some of the best carols old and new, and of course plenty of opportunity to stretch your vocal cords.

This special concert features the winning entry in the Sir David Willcocks Carol Competition. It is called ‘A Spotless Rose’ and has been composed by Aaron King. One of the judges. John Rutter described the piece as ‘a sensitive, beautifully-voiced setting of a text made famous a century ago by Herbert Howells.’ He went on to say that Aaron King’s setting ‘takes its place alongside Lauridsen and Whitacre in the heart-easing genre of new choral gentleness with a spiritual flavour.’

Aaron is thrilled to have been chosen as winner of the competition and is greatly looking forward to hearing his music being performed by The Bach Choir.

Christmas carols and festive cheer guaranteed!

Tickets from £5.00 – £32.00
