The Bach Choir named as launch partner for new National Funding Scheme initiative

The Bach Choir is delighted to be a launch partner for DONATE, a new mobile fundraising platform run by the National Funding Scheme.

DONATE is an exciting and unique new initiative which enables people to make mobile phone donations to the UK’s arts and heritage organisations through digital channels, identifying causes and campaigns chosen by the participating cultural institutions. Using a mobile phone, a visitor or audience member will be able to make a donation by text, credit/debit card or PayPal.

Paul Cutts, Chair of The Bach Choir and Chief Executive of the National Funding Scheme, said:

‘I’m convinced that new technology can help us reach ever wider audiences with our outstanding artistry; our redesigned website (launched in July) is an impressive first step in this direction. Now we’re able to offer an integrated digital giving solution, making it easy for people to support us by mobile phone, on their computer and at our performances. I’m particularly pleased that I have been able to combine my two worlds as Chair of The Bach Choir and Chief Executive of the National Funding Scheme, which provides the DONATE platform to arts organisations for free.’

The DONATE website already features three causes for the choir:

CREATE A LANDMARK CHORAL WORK – Support here

Help commission a major new piece from Jonathan Dove, one of Britain’s most acclaimed composers

CHINA TOUR – Support here

Help us fly the flag for British choral excellence in the Far East

KEEP THE BACH CHOIR IN FULL VOICE – Support here

Help us bring our music to diverse audiences in diverse places
